The Process
From original painting to your walls — every Calla print follows the same careful path. No shortcuts. Just the work, done properly.
01
Each print begins with an original work — painted by hand, layered, scraped back, built up again. The texture you see in the print is real. It happened first on canvas. Every mark is intentional. Nothing is generated or adjusted after the fact.
02
The original is photographed at studio quality — minimum 300 DPI at the largest print size. Colour corrected to match the original exactly. Nothing is lost in translation. The texture, the depth, the quiet marks — all of it comes through.
03
Printed on archival fine art paper using giclée printing — the same process used by galleries and museums. Your print is made when you order it. Fresh. Intentional. Not sitting in a box. Not mass produced.
About giclée printing
Giclée (pronounced "zhee-klay") is a fine art printing process that uses archival-quality pigment inks sprayed onto acid-free paper. It produces prints with exceptional colour accuracy and a lifespan of 100+ years without fading.
Unlike standard printing, giclée captures the full tonal range of the original — from the lightest passages to the deepest shadows. The result isn't a reproduction. It's a made object.
